The liftback. Even though there are a few out there, the only real affordable one right now is the Scion TC. Otherwise you’re looking at an A7 it something else wickedly expensive. I hope the new Civic adds the option back in. Id be first in line for a black Si liftback.

The actual liftback itself might be all but gone, but the style certainly isn’t. Almost every sedan these days looks like it has a liftback because of aerodynamics.

Noope. Pressure recovery is limited to shallower angles than A7 style. This is also why the 911 is much less slippery than you’d think. You need to look at TZ1 like rooflines. Anything steeper is just for the fancy shape, but aerodynamically inefficient.

If you want something light weight and fwd that has a lift back, the last generation of Celica is a good choice. Specifically the GTS with the 6 speed.
